It’s important to frequently test your hot tub water to ensure it stays balanced. After each use, add chlorinating granules (shock) to keep the water sanitized. This step prevents bacteria from growing and helps remove organic contaminants left behind by bathers.

While 3–4 months is a good starting point, several factors might mean you need to refresh your water more often.
